Princess Athena of Denmark (Athena Marguerite Françoise Marie; born 24 January 2012), is the fourth child and only daughter of Prince Joachim of Denmark and the younger child and only daughter of his second wife, Princess Marie. She is the eighth grandchild of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Henrik, Prince of Denmark.

Athena is tenth in the line of succession to the Danish throne.

Athena was born at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark, on 24 January 2012.

Athena has two older half-siblings: Prince Nikolai (1999) and Prince Felix (2002), and one older full-sibling: Prince Henrik (2009).

Athena was christened on 20 May 2012 at Møgeltønder Church. Per Danish tradition, the princess's name was announced for the first time as Athena Marguerite Françoise Marie.

Her godparents are Gregory Grandet, Edouard Cavallier, Carina Axelsson, Julie Mirabaud, Diego de Lavandeyra and Henriette Steenstrup.
